Emma & Conti is a Gothenburg-based duo consisting of Emma Sandström (1986, Sweden) and Stefano Conti (1994, Italy). They hold a Master’s degree in Photography from HDK-Valand, 2020. In their practice, they work with sculptural and photographic installations that revolve around the concept of materiality, the perception of objects and their relationship to human history. Emma & Conti create collective and personal narratives inspired by cultural heritage, archives and the ephemeral.

Recently, they have exhibited at Galleri Format (Malmö 2023), Atelier NOUA (Bodø, NO, 2022), Northern Photographic Centre (Oulu, FI, 2022), Cultural Center Il Ghetto (Cagliari, IT, 2022), Museum of World Cultures (Genova, IT, 2021), Konstepidemin (Gothenburg, 2021).
