Isabella Hansson (f. 1996, Helsingborg) is an artist working primarily with photography, ceramics, and painting. Her work explores themes of traces, processes, time, and materiality, often focusing on nature. Isabella’s practice is not confined to one material, as she frequently works across different mediums. In both her photography and painting, she investigates the borderland between abstraction and figuration, revealing new forms of landscapes by photographing objects up close. She often works with several materials in parallel, translating one medium into another.
Isabella is also fascinated by interactions—both between materials and between humans and other species or objects. She focuses on small, often overlooked details, magnifying them to highlight or elevate their significance. In her work, shapes and forms frequently reference the human body.
