Ellen Lagerström is a designer with her main focus on the textile material. Through a big focus on technology and materials, she explores abstract tactile expressions in her works. Weaving, knitting, dyeing and sewing reappear in different contexts in Ellen's work. With a background in fashion and design, her work often relates to the body and function, but aesthetics and technical properties are what drive her work first and foremost.

Ellen grew up in Stallarholmen in Mälardalen but moved to Dalsland to study textile art and fashion design at Stenebyskolan. Since then, she has been based in Borås, where she is currently studying the final year of her BFA degree in textile design at the Swedish School of Textiles.
