Tove Starfelt (b. 1993) lives and works in Gerlesborg, Bohuslän. Using textiles as her medium, she employs techniques such as dyeing, weaving, screen printing, and sewing. Her focus lies in exploring the body’s relationship to the craft and the material, along with the visual and conceptual properties of this tactile way of working. The physical contact and time spent leave traces behind, finding their way into the finished work. This is evident through the documentation of the process and the merging of the artwork.
She graduated from HDK-Valand Campus Steneby in 2020. Since then, her work has been showcased in several exhibitions around Sweden, including Galleri Syster (Luleå), Gibca extended (Dals Långed), Stockholm Craft Week, Craft Days (Gothenburg), Not Quite (Fengersfors), and KKV-Bohuslän (Gerlesborg).
